New Student Orientation

An introduction to KCU, its administration and departments, as well as an overview the opportunities and services available to you as a new student.
Dress is business attire (dress pants, dress shirt, tie (optional), professional dress or skirt and blouse.) No khakis, polos, jeans, shorts, spaghetti straps or strapless, flip flops or sneakers. Flat to modest heels recommended.
We Care Community Service Day
KCU-Kansas City kicks off each year by completing several community service projects in the area. Partnering with more than a dozen non-profit organizations, first-year COM students, COB students along with KCU faculty and staff, are matched to a community service project site in KC's urban core and spend the morning giving back.
Dress is casual (jeans, shorts and sneakers). We will provide you with We Care T-shirts.
Welcome to Kansas City Outing
New KCU-Kansas City students and their families are invited to a KCU picnic and all-campus event. Past events include cheering on the Royals, T-Bones and Sporting KC.
Dress is casual (jeans, shorts and T-shirts).
KCU-Kansas City's White Coating Ceremony for KCU-COM New Students
KCU was the first medical school in the Kansas City area to host an annual White Coating Ceremony for the entering class. The White Coating Ceremony is a touching and significant event, symbolizing the beginning of your career as an osteopathic medical student. The white coating ceremony concludes a week of orientation activities and begins a student's journey into medical school.
Dress is formal (dark pants/suit or a dark dress and black dress shoes (no sandals or open-toed shoes). Men please wear a white shirt and tie.

Convocation and Pinning Ceremony for KCU-Kansas City COB Students
Establishing new tradition for KCU's College of Biosciences, KCU held our first Convocation and Pinning Ceremony recognizing the incoming class of student scientists in the Academic Center, Room 200, on KCU campus. Reception followed in the lobby of the Academic Center.
